If you can take one second right now (and when you feel a storm cloud rising up inside of you that is directed at your child, or anyone else) and Slow. Everything. Down. you will begin to relax - and become a person you (and others) like to be around.
Some places to consciously slow yourself down:
-when your child acts out
-when you act out
-in the shower
-brushing your teeth
-dressing
-preparing food
-eating food
-driving
-driving (needed to be said twice)
-household jobs
-working
-playing
-creating
-talking
-listening
-shopping
-anywhere
-anytime
