Do your kids tattle, stick their nose in their sibling’s business? Do you have one child is too judgmental, or does your child worry about what others think about them?
I’m here once with Amanda Miller, my daughter, who as you know from our last podcast together, has been studying and practicing health and well-being for the better part of her life. She is intrigued by the complexities of human behaviour and loves working with stressed out parents to uncover the psychological contributors that are causing parents to feel out of control and disappointed in their parenting experience.
Amanda is also a trainer for Kid Code teachers, along with Lasha Watson, so if you’d like to help parents, they can show you how to do that.
Today we are going to share the strategy in the book called Whose Business Are You In? which comes from Byron Katie’s work found at www.thework.com
2:40 How good it feels not to be in other people’s business.
2:35 When one child gets something.
5:04 The actual discomfort of being in someone else’s business.
5:35 Stop before you make a comment and see if that’s your business.
6:51 Advice giving.
8:30 When one child makes a judgment on another child.
10:05 Use it when someone is criticizing you.
